A: The printer could be printing garbage because of a driver problem. A document of a format that the printer isn't equipped to handle may have been sent to the printer. There are all kinds of document formats, the printer must be able to interpret the document to be able to print it.

A: This was an interesting case. The surge protector was returned to the manufacturer for failure analysis. It was tested and appeared to be operating properly. How could Maureen's computer have been damaged by lightning if it was protected by a surge protector? Is the manufacturer shirking it's promise to compensate customers if their systems are damaged?

A: There is some truth to that idea but there is an issue that you should consider. Would you like your neighbors to be able to plug into your wireless network? What about someone that you don't know? If you share files on your wireless network, would you want someone looking at your files and possibly changing them? You need to think about protecting your wireless network and keeping it private.

There is a new Service Pack 3 available on the Internet. DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL IT! It is a fake. Microsoft did not release it. The originator of the fake SP3 claims that the files used to make the fake SP3 came from Microsoft. Microsoft is investigating the fake service pack. At best, the files to make the fake SP3 were leaked or stolen from Microsoft. Even if Microsoft did create the files, Microsoft didn't release the Service Pack. The fake SP3 will only cause you problems in the future.
